Weightloss Wednesday – You realize it’s Thursday, right?

Yes I realize it’s Thursday, but since my work’s site filter recently changed to a preventative setup (I don’t recognize that site, so it’s blocked) I can’t write these at work anymore. It’s not like I can bitch about it too much. When I’m at work, I should be doing work. And speaking of work, how is the weight loss working out?

I’m now at 245! Woo!

Progress is coming again and it looks like I’ve gotten through the plateau. I’ve still got another 25 pounds to drop before the end of the year. If I stay focused I can do it. Can’t wait to hit it.

Congrats! Just be aware it’s harder to lose in the winter… natural hibernation tendencies + holiday food. Regardless, it will be impressive as long as it doesn’t come back. Along those same lines you should set a goal for right after you hit your target weight. It needn’t be to lose more, maybe just to do X minutes of exercise per day or something like that. Like they say, it’s a process, not a goal.

As far as work… what’s next? It seems like in America you are there to work for 8 hours, sanity be damned. I’m not saying that’s your job but businesses keep squeezing more and more productivity (which they are getting) while never increasing the share of the profits which those workers generate. Who says indentured servitude is dead?

After I hit my target weight, the goal is down to either 200 or a 36″ waist, so that point is planned out. As far as work goes, I go in from 10 – 4 every day, take an hour lunch, and spend the majority of that time browsing the net. Really, I’d say I put in ten to fifteen actual hours of work a week. With that being the case, I can’t complain too much.
