I’ve recently gotten into the Touhou project series of games, and I have to admit, I’m enjoying them. Now I just need to figure out a way to order them so that the one-man team gets his pay.
The reason I bring up zen is three fold. First, the person who creates these games goes by that as his name. Second, I recently finished reading the Tao Te Ching, and I found it an interesting counter-point to The Analects that I’ll go into more detail later. Third, played without firing a weapon, I find these games to be very relaxing. I consider it a type of zen-like meditation. Which is odd, considering it’s not the proper use of the word, and really…

Dodging all of that can be quite focusing. And I would say that when I’m focused I’m more relaxed. So with that out of the way, here’s the progress update.

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, and that’s because things have been good for the most part. I haven’t had any drama to deal with and the only issues have been that every boss is dropping mail gear. (Highlight of the night, dropping Putricide, the hunter jokingly complains that nothing drops for him, and five people tell him to stuff it.) With all that said, I now have to figure out about what do we do about previous content.

So, an interesting thing happened Saturday morning.
My kneecap began to make a painful popping sensation around 40 minutes in.
And when I tried again on Sunday, the pain started about ten minutes in.
So, yeah, I’m going to take two weeks off the cycle to give my knee a chance to heal. In the meantime, more crunches. Just because I hurt my knee doesn’t mean I’m going to stop exercising.

I’m pretty sure that it’s going to take much longer than three hours to pedal to Olympus Mons, but hey, that’s what there’s music for.

And it’s taken me a while to go forward with it. It was based off of the Eowyn Challenge, but I made a few changes. Mainly because I hate walking. So, I’ve switched out the bike. And frankly, I’m tired of fantasy. But how does one cross interstellar distances on a bike? So that’s out. So….

I’m a sucker for Schafer. I enjoy his quirky humor, the unique art styles, and his music taste is stellar. And with all that said, while I enjoyed Brutal Legend, it needed a little bit of polish. Let’s run down the gripes, shall we?

Yes I realize it’s Thursday, but since my work’s site filter recently changed to a preventative setup (I don’t recognize that site, so it’s blocked) I can’t write these at work anymore. It’s not like I can bitch about it too much. When I’m at work, I should be doing work. And speaking of work, how is the weight loss working out?
